fruit是不可数名词，后面跟is，例如：

1.The fruit is injected with chemicals to reduce decay.水果注入了化学药品以防腐坏。

2.The fruit is starting to go rotten.水果已经开始腐烂变质了。

3.Then the fruit is packaged for export.然后水果便包装出口。
